High Angle Rescue Fundamentals


The High Angle Rescue Fundamentals Course is designed to arm either paid or volunteer rescue professionals with the basic knowledge and skills needed for high angle rescue.

This course is designed to instruct rescue professionals who may not practice high angle rescue on a regular basis, but still need to have the baseline skills to effect the occasional high angle rope rescue call. This course provides individuals with some basic techniques for rope rescue based around likely scenarios that can be easily practiced and refreshed in-house.

Skills covered include basic knot craft, rappelling techniques, low angle lowering techniques, anchor selection, basic mechanical advantage systems, proper gear selection.

The certification for this course is good for two years. All participants who take the course will receive a Certificate of Completion and a photo ID Card.

This is a three day course
